liquid limestone

Will the liquid limestone crack?
We take considerable measures when planning the pattern. We position and cut the control joints to minimise the risk of any cracking – but because it is a concrete based product, we cannot guarantee you will not get any cracks. We can only minimise the risk. If the limestone does crack it is normally only a hairline crack which is best left alone. But bottom line is yes, it can crack.

Will the liquid limestone be hot to walk on in summer?
No, liquid limestone stays cool to walk on during the hottest days, so it is perfect for pool areas & alfresco areas.

Will the liquid limestone move and sag like traditional brick paving?
No, because it is poured in-situ and the decorative pattern is cut later but not all the way through it will not be able to sag.

Will weeds & ant nests come up through paving?
No, because it is poured in-situ and the decorative patterns are cut later but not all the way through, weeds and ant nests will not come up through the paving. Although if sand and soil is left to sit in the cuts then ants can still nest and seeds will settle. But this will not undermine the paving like traditional paving; instead you just hose it out.

Is liquid limestone paving cost effective compared with brick paving?

Yes, liquid limestone is a very cost effective product. It starts at $55.00 per sqm supplied and laid including GST.

exposed aggregate

Will the exposed aggregate concrete crack?
We take considerable measures when planning and spacing the pattern. We position and cut the control joints to minimise the risk of any cracking – but because it is a concrete product, we cannot guarantee you will not get any cracks. We can only minimise the risk. If the exposed aggregate does crack it is normally only a hairline crack which is best left alone. But bottom line is yes, it can crack.

Will the exposed aggregate concrete be hot to walk on in summer?

Yes, exposed aggregate is a concrete product and so will absorb the heat, but it is still a great looking product for pathways, alfresco areas and perfect for durable eye-catching driveways.

Are different colours available for exposed aggregate concrete?
Yes, by using different coloured oxides and pebbles there are selections of colours to choose from to complement all outdoor areas.
See the “exposed aggregate colour chart” in our Gallery.

Our driveway has been admired by our visitors.

“Parser byes”.

Judith & John Morrissey

Primitive Stone completed a number of tasks for us during the construction of our new home.
In all our dealings they were professional and easy to deal with. Kevin listened to our needs and came up with ideas that were innovative and unique.
The quality of workmanship was excellent, the pricing competitive, and the overall result has significantly increased the value of our property.
In the 2 years since moving in we have had many people knock on our door to ask us who did the stonework or our Limestone Driveway
and we are always happy to recommend Primitive Stone to them.

Malcolm & Linda Eales

We had a vision that our driveway includes the slate grey of the roof, browns from the cedar fence and front door and taupes and beiges from the rendered brickwork.
Creative Kevin and his team brought that vision to life in a 15 meter driveway of exposed aggregate that will look great for years to come. Fantastic Job!
Thanks Guys.

Laura & Bill Bailey
